Very nice thanks F1. :)

So you just plug that line into your compressor to fill?

When i joined both my tanks and started to fill through the main chamber, i had air going through the barrel so i capped both tanks off...would that mean my trigger is back to front..?

Sounds like something connected wrong, do a circuit diagram if you can.

When filling air was simply rushing through the barrel...so i capped both tanks off and it fired.

The red line is the air line.

Would connecting both chambers effect how the trigger reacts?

When filling if i kept the trigger down it would hold air.

When i went to fire, it wasn't firing on push down..only once released.

ok, I see what your'e doing now, let me sort that out.

So this is the trigger valve?

What you need is a normally open 3/2 valve, I used a normally closed but it has 3 ports so I connect to the 2 open ports and exhaust on firing. I think you have a normally closed 3/2 with a hidden exhaust port.
QEV.jpg
You can use your valve but you will need a self closing disconnect of some kind or a shut off valve if you want to keep it connected to your compressor tank, not so user friendly in my opinion, I will do a diagram.

I think this should work with what you have, the trigger is reversed maybe from what you have set up already, you will need a shut of valve (or a self sealing disconnect if you want to be portable)
QEV 2.jpg
Fill the chamber, with the ball valve open obviously, close the ball valve (or unplug the disconnect, it must seal on both halves or you will have air going everywhere) Press your trigger and it should dump the chamber through the barrel. Job done

Yep thats the one. I've recently swapped it around because the trigger is acting backwards, only when released does it fire, has to be the other way around. :)

EDIT-Trigger was fine...was simply my qev..needs the mod to allow air through to the main tank if tanks are shared or filling from A. I think i got that right

Thanks F1 just saw the updated pics now.

Yes thats the valve i have..i have a slide valve but i didn't like it from the get go...i'll use for something i'm sure.

I did some dry fire tests earlier so its back to normal now.I will get another trigger.

EDIT-Oh i can connect to my compressor now and fire it fine no problems there.

EDIT2-Yep it has a hidden exhaust port.

Not sure if its because I have recently returned to the forum, but you seem to make a lot of guns. They are inspiring works of art, from reading your theads am I correct in thinking all your metal shaping and 'machining' is all done without the use of a milling machine? If so you must be incredibaly patient/persistant.

Yes I always have something on the go. And you are correct everything I make is done by hand, I do have a drill press and access to a Tig welder if needed. Patience is a virtue.

Finally did a chrono test on this

With 0.25g @ 160psi = 560fps

0.12g @ 160psi = 732fps

Got the FAR2017 out of it's strorage box and thought it looked a bit lonely so decided to pimp it a bit more.

Changed the scope from the fixed 4X to my new adjustable, made cover for the trigger mechanism, black sleeve over barrel (heatshrink) and made a new fake silencer (I lost the old one)

With the old PVC chamber :|

yes, its set up for 10 meters only and being quite high it needs the angle

An excellent job! This is one of the most enjoyable, of which you have built :bounce:
