Only when something bad happens, then it's a big deal. Such as the question of the day story. Inocent teenagers sitting on a buss stop waiting for the buss. Somebody rolled by in a van, opened the doors and sprayed the buss stop with frozen paint balls. Sent 2 kidds to the hospital.

Another case file for dickheads on patrol!

No.

Irresponsible individuals should be severely punished for abusing devices to cause harm to others.

There should not be a carpet ban on all objects that could potentially cause harm due to the above.

The problem is that government finds it a lot easier to say "oh * it, we can't be arsed with these lobby groups and the bad press anymore."

Putting a illegaility sticker on something is much easier than ensuring its safe use. You then don't have to worry about people carrying items X around or whether they're like that manic that killed some people a few years back with one because they're automatically arrested for it.

I saw an anti-airsoft clip a few weeks back....

Its about little kids playing in a wood with guns and then one of them shoots another with a real gun they had for some reason - which looked like an airsoft gun.

I don't like this "lets treat them like morons" culture in the UK as much as I don't like people that spoil these things for everyone else by being a nutcase.

Anyway thats my view from the UK.

No they should not. People that do stupid things with them with shoot froozen pb at people and such should be punished, and also in regard to that clip a kid shoots another kid with what he thinks in an airsoft gun but is a real gun come on there is no way he would make such a mistake by accident unless he is a brainless moronic idiot. There is a big weight difference and and feel also he would have to load it before the game begins right? Also a real gun should not be loaded and in the area of vicinity of morons. As it is said morons will be morons. In short people that abuse what freedom they have should rounded up and throw in strait jackets in padded rooms for life. Airsoft and Pb guns should not be illegal. If you want that then go to the moon because I dont want to share the same planet as you. No wait better yet leave this galaxy.
Irresposible people or idiots cause these accidents in short you wanna make PB/Airsoft gun illeegal ok make Idiots illegal.

this whole argument is stupid, this country is going to hell. next were going to be riding FUCKING HORSES around because everyone is dyiong in cars, and pretty soon the normal people will be defending their farms from wolves with spears, while the government is parading around with fucking rail guns killing civillians with no way to defend themselves
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

Governments are very much against civilians having projectile devices, particularly any comparable to law enforcement or military types.

I mean if the government calls in the riot police or in an extreme case the army the last thing they want is to have people capable of fighting back on even slightly equal terms, they want to have the people upsetting them taken down as fast as possible.

That goes for any government anywhere.

Should BB guns and/or paintball guns be banned? In a word, NO!!
If they take away your airguns then there only one step away from taking away your second amendment rights! Banning guns only disarms the common man; it doesn’t take the guns out of the hands of the criminals! They don’t want a Winchester or a Remington; they want an Uzi, or a Kalashnikov, both of which are illegal in the first place. You know why they, the liberals and democrats, want to disarm you, to take away your guns, it’s because there scared! They know that if they do something that makes a lot of people upset the second amendment give the people the right to FIX it. But if they ban guns then they think there safe.

"The tank, the B-52, the fighter-bomber, the state-controlled police and military are the weapons of dictatorship. The rifle is the weapon of democracy. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military. The hired servants of our rulers. Only the government - and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws."
-- Edward Abbey, The Right to Arms, Abbey's Road, 1979

this is cause some people are too dang sensitive they find any thing they can blame, I think there is a modern "gun scare" (like the comunist "red scare" years) Now it's not surpiseing if a police officer shoots a little boy 20 times cause his bright rainbow colored bubble gun okay its not that bad yet but in the future you'll clearly see hysteria being more dangerous then guns
