I say 2 months should be a good deadline. I def. think that people with machining facilities should use common tools but we can't completely exclude them from the challenge.

A drillpress is no exclusive or horribly expensive tool so I guess a big part of us has it. I would say it is okay.

It's going to be obvious if machine tools have been used. If it isn't obvious, then it doesn't matter. Users can adjust their opinion accordingly. If someone pulls of something amazing without machine tools, then great. But excluding people from a competition because they have slightly better fortune in tooling isn't fair.

2 Months is cool with me.

The original pen gun was made using a standard drill and hacksaw and (rather embarrasingly since it came second in the challenge it was built for) was built in a few hours, if you have the right ideas fancy tooling isn't necessary ;)

By the way, unless I find time to make something else in the meantime, here's my entry :P

Edit: You make the smallest co-axial ever and they still pick on your syntax, nothing gets by you wImages eh  :D
