Why couldn't you use a blowgun?

I'll get around to making a 1" chamber coaxial sometime. Airsoft barrel most likely, with a diaphragm. Maybe, 4-5" long.

Where can you get an airsoft barrel...

And for the valve.. I think I've spotted what would work (goes on the internet to search for a picture)

This may be too short for what you have plans for, but the tube from the pen model called Scripto stick pen medium fits airsoft pellets perfectly, it's about five inches long. I made a mini with one earlier today.

Mini pneumatics are easy.
Use steel pipe nipples, ball valves, and a male disconnect.

I can get 9/32" brakeline, which is a fit within half a millimeter of an airsoft BB's OD.

Blowgun valves are fine, but the barrel needs to have a TINY diameter.
