ballistic vests/suits!!!?

Well i wanted some clothing/vest that i could wear so we could have wars at about 10-20 psi with paintballs or tissues or somthing soft and wouldnt hert us...sooo
First i looked on ebay for paintball suits, way to much
then googled homemade ballistic suits
googled homemade armor and bullet proof vests
looked on ebay for all sorts of stuff like baseball vests, hunting vests, ghillie suits, padded vests
couldnt find much at all

i thought about getting cheap clothing and filling it with that hard fome stuff they use for pool mats and gym mats but that would be bolky
maybe if i cut little squares of it and covered a vest and sewed in between the gaps(like a ballistics vest)
i think it could work but would take time
But i think ide rather get a baseball vest.

does anyone know of a good homemade soloution???
or anything cheap that i could buy????
if so post it up for us people that want war with our friends!!!!!

i am thinking ballistics could be good (Thats chainsaw protective clothing)

i am a tree surgeon and wear them everyday on my legs and feet they are really padded so that you dont cut your legg off with a chainsaw

try looking on ebay for some second hand ones?

they are full of strands of kevlar so when the saw makes contact all the strands wrap around the bar and stop the engine

get two pairs and use the second to fashion a vest maybe it would be really cool!!!

Be carefull with the pressure used though as a large gun with 40psi has the possibility of traveling a 1/4 mile!!!???

...compleate bull... with a paintball anyway. Heck, a supersonic paintball scarecly goes .1 miles... the exterior ballistics are just horrible.

Anyway, why don't you just set up some man-sized targets, and see who is the first to hit it? It'd be cheaper, easier, and without the possibility of hurting each other.

the exterior ballistic used for trees are plain black, blue or green.

If you plan on shooting other ammo, don't. With the possible exception of socks, and such foam-like objects (I have been shot with a sock, and let me tell you; IT HURTS), they will probably send you to the hospital or mortician... and if they don't he'll complain about their exterior ballistics, and you'll use heavier and denser (and thus harder) projectiles untill you do.

To scare him away from the idea, compare the muzzle energy of your projectiles to the muzzle energies of varius handgun/rimfire rounds.
While this is inaccurate - you don't die from a handgun wound because blunt trama, it's mainly bleeding (or so I'v heard) which requires significant penetration (4-6", or roundabouts) to hit major blood tubes - this is a dangerous activity, and should be discorouged.
If he knows enough about guns, you can liken it to being hit with a blunt object such as a baseball bat or sledge hammer. For instance, a 2 kg sledge hammer with 60 J of energy (about that of a .22 lr) will have a head velocity of about 8 meters/sec, or 16 miles/hour... a fairly good swing.
Calculated with: sqr(60J/(2kg/2))
This also has inaccuracies, but they are less.

And how does an "exterior ballistic" have a color? Are you refering to the protective suit? (incidentaly, hitting of the target is terminal balistics... exterior ballistics is flight, and internal balistics is what the GGDT calculates)

we shot each other with flower and water mixture and it didnt too hurt much
i would of liked to have some sort of protective clothing though
it left red marks
that was at 10psi with a 3ft cannon
i think we could make it safe and be able to have a war
and im not realy talking about ballistics i just put "ballistics vest" in the topic title, its another word for bulletproof vests

I realise what balistic means but we here over in the UK in the Arborist industry use the word balistics for CHAINSAW TROUSERS as mention before in the first post i added.

these are as powerfull as a gun so be carefull someone from my town got shot with a rock and he died the rock went halfway through his body!
