Use two nine volt batteries.

One switch.

Switch powers the sprinkler valve, and the taser ignitor at the same time.

Haha did you get that from my "Hybrid Stupidity" thread? Aside from the fact that even the smallest solenoid valves cost an arm and a leg, as soon as you trigger the valve, the mixture ignites and the valve opens. The combustion probably wont even come close to reaching its maximum peak pressure.

Assuming the mixture in the pilot area ignites, the solenoid would take a beating and the valve will close, or at least bounce, limiting flow. There is more surface area of the diaphragm in the pilot of a sprinkler valve than the chamber, if the mixture in the pilot it ignites, it would force the valve close (most of the gases would probably have escaped by that time though).

That's the way I see it anyway.

ROFLMAO

Sometimes, you just have to throw something out there to see what bites.

Sometimes you get a laugh. And sometimes you have to go back later and explain that no one should -actually try- that, because someone took it seriously.

Well it isn't the most stupid idea ever really and it wasn't the basis of the stupidity for the topic 'Hybrid Stupidity', the idiocy lay elsewhere in that topic, not with the valve per se.

Trust me, we've had far, far worse ideas for hybrids on this forum. Lack of emoticons makes it difficult to separate sarcasm from someone's brain fart when it comes to the internet. Just remember that there will always be someone stupid enough to try something that's written on the internet. Whilst many here laugh at the thought of mixing oxygen and acetylene in a DWV combustion because of the sheer stupidity, there will always be someone who overlooks the sarcasm due to ignorance

Guess I'll take this as a wake-up.

It probably wouldn't take long for someone to take sarcastic advice, and actually do something that gets themself or someone else, hurt.
