Contrary to what people would have you believe, a DWV marking on a pipe means very little as to whether it's "good" for spudding.
The main thing you should be concerned about is a pressure rating. If it has one, then it should be OK, if it doesn't - it might still be OK, but it's far more likely it won't be.
A pressure rating takes priority over a DWV marking. DWV is an application, not a standard. Pressure ratings are a standard, which tells you a lot more.
You can use it, and it shouldn't go wrong, but as with any type of pipe, if it gets abused, damaged or dropped, that will compromise it's safety.
