I made a program for the ti84 for calculating ballistic range, I just used basic equations, its pretty simple to make formula solving programs, but the guy who made GGDT has degrees in aerospace and stuff, the math and physics for it is way above high school level
but if we knew the formulas it should be learn able if you got the will to do it

Ok I've got the program on my computer. You will need TI Connect to transfer it to your calculator. I've refined the program as much as I can to make it as easy as possible to use. If you don't have TI Connect, download it here. http://www.wiu.edu/users/mfjro1/wiu/stu ... -cable.htm It also has TI Graph Link, a program you will need in order to edit programs on your computer. But if you just want the program TI Connect is all you need. Give me feedback on how it works. And now presenting my homemade ballistics program. Enjoy.

Ti-Connect should include all necessary drivers. You hould be able to download everything you need off the website...

well I already have the program on my calculator, so I can't try to do a how to .Maybe some one else can? Another thing, the range becomes less and less accurate when projectiles get less and less dense to to a greater effect by air resistance. So just don't try to get figures for things like airsoft or empty bottles. I want to add drag coefficients but I don't have those numbers. So maybe I'll add an optional imput?

So your calculator only gives distance in a vacuum?

Air resistance has a HUGE effect on projectiles. I'd say if you have the method for calculating in air resistance, definitely add that to the program.

In other news, I've been working on a cell phone app. to do C:B calculations. Looks good so far but I'm not familiar with Java for cell phones, so I'm working on it still...

I was thinking about doing the same for the calculator. But midway into the program I deemed it entirely useless for anyone who know basic geometry and the optimum C:B Ratio, which is pretty much everyone here. So, a bit tired, I deleted it.

Also, has anyone made any updates to the program as of yet? I'm curious to find out how I can make a better program for the future. I'll add the wind resistance to the program to make it more accurate. But who would seriously know the drag coefficient of their projectile unless you do range testing or have a wind tunnel?
