Wow, I guess some people are just going to be complete idiots no matter how much you try and help them. Chaos is right in his assumption, maybe if bubba would have actually read the previous posts he would have seen that the last one prior to mine was in regards to not looking down the barrel. The bore sight allows you to look UP the barrel behind a near bulletproof clear material. If Frankrede and Bubba can't figure out how much safer that is then they have no business with a launcher of any type.

Um, they weren't arguing the safety of it, they weren't sure what you were saying. Don't insult people. It is rather interesting, though I really don't understand why you would need to look anyway. If the object didn't come out of the barrel, there are two possible reasons that I can think of. One, it's disappeared, through dematerialization, transportation to another dimension, etc. Two, it's stuck. THerefore, open the chamber, vent it, whatever, and get it out.

Common sense dictates ate that you don't look down the barrel.
What I was getting at was some random photo of a clear bloody window on what looked like a barrel. WTF mate there was no explanation of what the hell it was Just "Here is my patented MAKROLON bore sight that I hope will eliminate the problem on the Eclipse launcher."
D#%khead it was me that said the comment about not looking down the barrel. as I said learn to read.
Anyways the whole device screams laziness to me. If you got a jam take it apart and clear the jam, I'm sure through that little window you cant see the whole workings of your weapon. How many weapons has this revolutanary "Patented" device been installed into?
Lack of explanatoin on your part explains ignorance on my part.
Mate I been around weapons me whole life and I probly let off rounds on weapons you'd only have wet dreams about.
Grow a brain!
Bubba

If solar doesn't learn how not to post something with no helpful description whatsoever and attacking members for no good reason, then he has no business in this forum.Solar wrote:Wow, I guess some people are just going to be complete idiots no matter how much you try and help them. Maybe I should have posted this description:
Here is a picture of the bore sight on my soon to be released semi-automatic launcher. The bore sight allows you to see into the receiver so you are able to tell if there is a round currently loaded. Since this is a radial belt fed receiver it is indexable and you can select different style rounds, hence the window makes it easy to tell which round is loaded. It is also used to tell when your belt is spent.
Bubba: I was responding directly to YOUR post. I assumed incorrectly that people would understand the context since your post was about not looking down the barrel.
Frankrede: I'm not attacking anyone for no good reason. If you and Bubba enjoy calling people pricks and butt heads because you didn't understand someones post it is YOU that have no place on the forum.
You have your explanation now, happy?
I have created a launcher that is for sale to the public. Obviously there are plenty of idiots out there and someone will eventually think that it is a good idea to look down the barrel. Every other year it seems someone using a combustion cannon blasts themselves into a coma by not using common sense. I was trying to help eliminate the problem on my pneumatic since it will be used by more than just military personnel now.
paaiya, I was the original poster of the bore sight. Dobie is just getting picked on for joining in the conversation and other reasons it appears.

just a sugesstion that i have learned with small pillbottle qtip guns.. some times the fuel is not totally burned up.. you are able to fire it twice... which could result in being burned if you fire it a second time while looking in the chamber..

OK first off, dead topic.spudfarm wrote:i did not read all of this but if no one has said it: what about Hybrids?
just write "hybrids: multiply the pneumatic and combustion rules with ten and + them tougheter = p*10+c*10= hybrid"
Second, what in the world are you blabbering about?

I don’t know what he’s talking about, but as far this being dead, since I started it I say:
If it’s on subject, even if it’s redundant, go ahead and say it.
Safety isn’t dead, this thread is about safety so it ain’t dead.
4 whole pages! Wow, why did it stop telling me there was new stuff after the first page?
Keep the safety tips coming guys

It stops telling you about new ones if you leave it unviewed for so long. I wouldn't have said anything about it being a dead topic if I knew what the heck spudfarm was talking about. scottcrete made a post that's acceptable, overfuel a cannon and some won't burn off, it could light afterward.
