Coupler Piston
I came up with a new idea for a piston valve. Instead of a flat surface covering the valve, it uses a coupler the size of the barrel for a perfect seal. The coupler is attached to the end of the piston. The barrel is capped at one end with a slot cut out of the side for the air to enter.

Your not making any sense...
In one part is shows the coupler solid, and in the other it shows it cut. Please explain. Im only posting this because I think there is others that also dont under stand what in the hell is going on. Please do explain because for quite a while now I have been looking for a dif valve concept, espically one that doesnt use a lathe, besides coaxials and others.

The top is a side view. The bottom right is the piston facing along the barrel. The bottom left is the side view of how the barrel would be cut. The Bottom right shows how the piston would "wrap" kinda around the barrel. I'm not sure if that helps but I hope it does. In this piston your only using half the coupler.

How do you activate it? Slide it around the barrel, or does it act as a regular piston and retracts into the tee?
The idea sounds good, but tt would be a female dog to get a good seal.
If there was a way to get an O-ring to fit on one of the mating surfaces, maybe it would work if you kept the seal nice and lubricated.
Maybe if instead of cutting a slit out of the pipe going through the T, you could cut it at a 45* angle, and have a sheet of rubber on the mating surface of the piston.
