Someone built a net gun here about a week ago... given it was a 4" net, it was a net none the less.

Yeah really. NO_NAME, please clean up the kid speak and try to punctuate, capitalize and spell your words better. It's part of the rules my man.

I also can't really tell what it is you're asking...or telling. Are you wanting to build a spud gun that can shoot a net big enough to catch a person? What is "rob and big"?

Kill yourself..... just kidding, but Rob and Big is a popular TV show that has a skater white guy with a HUGE black body guard. They had a net gun on their show and shot people with it.

Agreed. However, they are starting to put music video's back on there. But, back on topic, A net gun is going to be reallllly difficult to do.

I think the mythbusters built one...tried to catch pigeons with it. I believe it was a 5 barreled pneumatic.

Yeah, something like that. It wasn't terribly effective IIRC. Range was very limited as well.

Why, might I ask, would you want a net for catching people?

I bet it would be quite badass to have a net gun when playing that zombie's game that we talked about 2 or 3 weeks ago lD

That would be. And I actually thought once that if you did things right, you could actually make the net yourself, but instead of making all the lines out of nylon or whatever, you could make a few out of wire, and turn it into a taser net.

A taser net man, how much fun would that be.

We had a big discussion on this last fall.

This thread was a neat experience to try and we had some decent results.

On a side note, my nets were not big enough to catch a person, and they needed golf balls as weighted points. I REALLY wouldn't want to be hit by a golf ball out of an air-cannon, but hopefully it will give some insight. Let me know if you want anything clarified.
Trying to figure out how to make a SCUBA first stage regulator work for portable charging station. If only that pesky job thing didn't keep eating up all my time...
