It's a joke. It means that you would post something along the lines of "that's interesting" in this thread, and then swoop in 2 seconds before the auction expires and put a winning bid on it.

That's what I like about http://www.trademe.co.nz. The seller has the option of choosing that if someone bids within the last 2 minutes, the auction time restarts so there is still 2 minutes remaining.

For example, if I bid with 2 seconds to go, the auction will reset the time so there is now 2 minutes to left in the auction. It's good and bad I guess, but at least it is fair and good for the seller.

I use a site called http://www.justsnipe.com. Have been registered there for a couple of years now, never had an issue with the fact they have my ebay password, so join if you need it. I tend to use it to bid on anything, because it means I can cancel the bid right up to the last minute.
