Helo,
first of all i wanna say "thank you" for the rly good page here! Grate wapons, nice stuff and more wich i rly like!!
I come from germany and in germany the PVC sucks! It´s not good, it´s very thin and ugly too. i build a typicle potato gun wich is powerfull and works very well. But i did see a lot of movies where the pvs broke and im little bit scary to shoot my Potetogun!
Now my quastion is there anykind of way to order PVC for example from usa to germany? Maybe one of u already did and can give me some tips where i can order the pvc fittings and how those cost incl. the turms of delivery.
I would be very grateful if anybody could help me out.
I like the us pvc a LOT! It´s goodlooking and safe (i think)!
US PVC Rocks!!!
Regards
igiigi

Can you get schedule 40 ABS? It's the black stuff. It seems to hold up reasonably well in a combustion. It is softer and less likely to shatter, but it is more prone to blowing off the cleanout cap.

1st: Anyone from Germany who has learned English should be able to spell properly(at least the Germans i know).
2nd: It would be cheaper to order from Holland, possibly from Brian The Brain or maybe the u.k.

Not realy i know a tiny bit of french but cant spell it.
Why not try ordering it from the uk its reasonably cheap and the postage would be alot cheaper.

hmm don't know many german spudgunners,
are you sure that there is no decent pvc, doesn't anyone use pvc for plumbing, not sewage and drainage but plumbing for faucets, sinks, toilets, etc. you should at least be able to find some smaller size pvc.
you know there are alternatives to using pvc for a chamber like using soda bottles

soda bottles are actually pretty safe, bottles made for carbonated drinks are made to withstand pressure, you can made a spud gun with a soda bottle chammber that can withstand up to 90psi/ ~6.2bar
you can also use a fire extinguisher
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i290/ ... r-View.jpg
it also depends on the kind of fire extingusher; the opening might not have pipe threading

hi thanks for the tip with bottle, but i like to build one with propan injection.
i checked all the small shops out. here around my town is nothing :/
of coarse it gives a lot of diferent fittings but they all in standard size! (very big WC pipes and elbo)
i could drie to bigger town, but i would more pay for gas as i would order it from internet!
this is the typicle pvc of europe!
(just build one for checking the power)

If I can help you out I will.
Let me have a proper list of the parts you want and your address via PM and I will let you know what I can get in the UK and a cost to ship it over.

MRR is a member from Germany, I'm sure he will help.At least language will not be a problem.
I can supply pressure rated PVC, but it would be cheaper to buy locally.
You would be wasting a lot of money and I'm not in it for the profit.
I'll help if you have no better option.
Here is the link to MRR:

Click this link, then click " pm" and you can send him a message.

i would like to build some nice clean spud gun, but if u guys would see the german pvc i wouldn´t want it!!! :/
belive me the propan tanks (the small one) are ugly too! they are in every shop the same!!! everywhere the standard shape ... man!!
i find a complett propantank injection for 84 $ (New London) it´s like 60 € i don´t know about the prices in usa, but its cheap here. in germany cost a tank (without any nipel elbo pipe ...) 60 €
i´m really confuse!

Well so are we.
I'm from " Die Niederlande" but we have the same stuff over here. You need to find pressure rated PVC, wich is less common...
It took me a long time to find it.

Have you tried looking at plumbing merchants? They are stores where plumbers buy their PVC and stuff. Seeing as it sounds difficult to get PVC, like here in NZ, I imagine PVC will also be quite expensive in Germany. Don't expect US prices, I pay about 6 euro per 2" PVC fitting. So it gets quite expensive.
