Nah. I want to see someone build a literal Elephant* gun.

That wouldn't have the same endearing effect on this forum as a Flaming elephant painted pink with heavy lead boots listening to speed metal trying to sneak into a well lit and sheet metal floored peanut factory with vigilant and plentiful 24-hour security - through a minefield

I was tweaking my new QDV cannon...
I was playing with the trigger rod trying to get the piston to seal, it did seal and got up to 60 psi, I accidently pulled the trigger rod and it shot into my thumb  It HURT, its not broken though.

I also shot a potato out of the QDV cannon and broke a board in my fence

Thanks for reminding me of my early days with my first QDV. It is the rope pull one, the ABC Cellular Core test cannon. Before I got the o ring support adjusted, the rings leaked some. (not a floating ring. Ring pressure is adjusted by electrical tape under the ring in the groove) I too tried to do the piston jiggle to get a better seal and pushed it too far in. I launched the piston. Down range was safe, but I did a lot of searching to find it. It was before I had a golf ball on the rope, so it launched rope and all. I got a little rug burn from it, but not bad. This happened at about 20 PSI, so it launched quite far.

Don't try to wiggle the piston to get a better seal on a QDV while under pressure.

lol i made a bow and arrow out of 1/2 CPVC and weed whacker cord. it shot about 30 metres so i gave it to my friend. bad idea cause about 2 hours later he put an arrow made from bamboo and duct tape through his living room window

My first shot was with a golfball at 100 psi, I dont know where it went  I also lost a golfball somwhere in my yard, it bounced off the pine tree I was shooting at.

I made a sprinkler valve canon and my putting my hand in front of the barrel then pulling the trigger to feel all the air coming out. But one time I did that and forgot that there was an air-soft bb shotgun shell in there, and pulled the trigger... it broke my pinky. That was before I knew gun saftey.

well today i found a bunch of stuff while is was cleaning... and i was like "hay! you know what i haven't made in a while..." and started making another co-ax.
Now since i was going of a whim, and had no real plan... there was much 'not using tools for the purposes they where made for' going on.

Before i go on, the parts i found was: some compressor fittings, a modded blowgun, and some ally tubing.

now i have never used epoxy before in my life, and because of this fact, i don't own any (if you listen carefully you may hear JSR yelling at his computer, if not at this then probably at what is coming next)... so i decided to use hot glue.. on super smooth ally tube. half an hr later i was ready for a test fill to see if there where and leaks.

My compressor was at roughly 50 PSI. i connected the fill vlave and pulled the trigger filling the gun with air... or so i thought. essentially as soon as i pulled the trigger there was a pop sending a 1 meter shaft of 10mm tube flying. i am lucky in the sense that no one was hurt, and i didn't hit my mums car (missed it by about 40 cm)and that behind where it hit there was a stud or this rod would have ended up in my house.

so note to self.... hot glue = bad at sealing stuff
(i already knew that, i srsly have no idea why i did it any way)
