Is there any chance of my pvc pipe failing or busting apart on my spray and pray? I have been told by other cannon users, that I should trash my half assembled combustion cannon and use some abs pipe instead.

Don't listen to them. Peak pressures on a spray and pray are ~60psi.

True, but improperly glued fittings or unrated threaded sections are still liable to be blown off though, it should still be carefully put together and not taken lightly.

Like JSR says make sure you glue all of the fittings properly together. This means making sure you clean the pipes, use primer and then the solvent weld. If you do it right and make sure you use pressure rated pipe and fittings you wont have a problem.

You will be fine, as long as you built it properly!

I would go with regular p v c cuz its cheaper, meaning costs less. Make sure you use primer and glue correctly. All of my combustions work great, and even have dwv bell reducers, which in my opinion is fine on a combustion, however others will say it isnt. Its all in the build my friend!!! 8)

DWV is usually fine on a spray 'n' pray.

@Willdebeers 60 psi? That sounds kinda low are you sure thats it?

It's probably more like 40PSI depending on your fuel. Using deodorant for fuel and spraying it in by hand will probably generate low pressures like that.
