With all the interest lately in this BB Blaster, I took the time to make a concept drawing in the hope that it will help those wishing to understand the operation of this BB shootera bit better.

Please feel free to input corrections, tips, or building techniques.

The following are my assumptions from studyingpictures of the MK2 and from information from spudders at the <a href="www.spudtech.com">Spudtech</a> forums (spudsonfire, for one).

The barrelcan be24" long. The sleeve for the barrel is 3/4" Sch40 with 3/4" Tees where shown. The rear handle is from 1" parts and houses the blowgun trigger. It is a 1" Sch40 pipe that is angled with a 1" 45 degree elbow. The heat shield is 12" long piece of 1 1/2" Sch40 pipe. It houses a Mini Maglite for nighttime use. The main BB chamber is a Sch40 2" Tee (5 3/8" long). At the end of the Tee is a 2" screw-in plug to which a paint ball type butt pad is attached (this is where the BBs are loaded). At the bottom of the Tee is a 2" clean out plug to which is attached a 1/4" air feed tube with a 1/8" NPT fitting. The air feed tube is attached to a blowgun that is housed in the rear handle. The blowgun has a quick disconnect plug at the end of it to allow pressurization.The front handle is a 3/4" Sch40 tube about 4" long. A few folks there have already built their version and a few others are in the process of building one, myself included.

Well, there goes P3's patent, now, anyone can build one, yay! how can they patent something everyone can build. Its not like the cure for AIDS or something. It takes $50 and a couple hours build time instead of $300 and 2 weeks shipping time for the same product. P3 is trying to patent something that is unpatentable. Its like trying to patent the paper airplane, in respects.

i am new to this site and i was wondering if it is possible to hook a bb machine gun/strafer up to a paintball co2 catrige thing(the big type)

also i was wodering if it is possible to have interchangable barrels so that i could fire airsoft bbs also

i guess you could have interchangable barreles on a bb machine gun, and paintball tanks work very well but get an anti siphon valve to stop it freezing, and last off all people get REALLY pissed off about raising dead topics ill give you a warning, lol, feel like a mod here.

We only become annoyed when a topic is kicked without reason, or "bump" isnt obvious. Although I have no calculations, but at most I would think a 20oz tank would last 20 seconds.

On the subject of interchangable barrels:
For a vortex strafer you would need to replace the vortex block to accept the new projectile, this would also have to line up with the barrel connection. A cloud could easily have inter-changable barrel. I must say neither the cloud or vortex designs are good for larger diameter projectiles. If you dont know the difference between cloud and strafer please go to the spud wiki.

they seem to be filling paintball canasters with propane now ( correct me if im wrong) instead of c02 ,they say that it is cheeper and lasts longer

Are you kidding me???

Propane and CO2 cannons are completly different and there fuels dont inner mix. The C-3 is made by Tippmann and uses combustion rather then pneumatic force to propel the paintball. Yes, a disposable canister of propane last for ~5000 shots, meanwhile the CO2 guns can drain a 20oz in ~500-1000 shots. These tanks alone are in the 20$ range. Combustion paintball guns have a long way to go considering that the C-3 is pump action which means its semi-automatic. It also has problems of heating since its containing a explosion.

Pimpmann, Tippmann claims that the propane tanks last for 50,000 shots not 5,000. Also the c-3 is single shot. A semi-auto only requires the pulling of the trigger for fire, while single shot requires a pump or bolt etc. Normal paintball guns are semi-auto.

be thankful you can even get paintball guns.

i relize this is slightly irelivent but please stay with me what is the differnce between a cloud straffer or however you spell it and a vortex bb machine gun thanks
