i made a mini and you guys were helping me build it.well the gun worked thanks.but i lost the cap to the bottle so put a smaller water bottle cap and i put perfume then i pressed it and shot!!but the cap flew back and hit my chest.i got scared!!!1!11111!!!!!!it left a lump!! but at least it shot. i need to find a better cap.or make it somewhere else.there was a big ol flame and the cap hit me!!LOL!!!no serious injuries though.the bump went away already.ima make a new one with the same parts but i need to find a bottle would a sprite bottle work?would it blast the cap off?would anything go wrong?

yes it would work, as far as i know a sprite cap would be plenty strong to hold a mini combustion

yes cause i dont want to have the same problem again.

well i dot know but do you know?nvm i dont think you can.it made a loud bang when i fired mine or is it cause the cap pop off?great now it doesnt wanna work
edit ima build one out of a coke bottle but why did my other mini only fire once it doesnt wanna fire!!

almost the same thing happened to me

i made a pnunematic and the chamnber was a water botte...i didnt know how to secure the bottle in the pvc but i was dumb and just massacred it in glue. so i pumped it up to 140 psi and the bottle shot at extreme speed into my shoulder and damn! the first thing i relized was that i could barely hear anything then i felt the pain so....there ya go u must be carful with these things

pneumatics should only be made with pressure rated materials, people have used 1L soda bottles, but soda bottles are pressurized when they're packaged, but they still shouldnt be taken to high pressures. using 140 PSI was a VERY bad thing to do, you shouldnt exceed 100-125psi in any pneumatic (metal ones you might be able to push a bit further).

Im a new member to this site, so when I read something like this I pray to the gods that most of the members are not like this guy. Aside from the fact that what you did sounds idiotic, the way you wrote about it also sounds idiotic. Maybe the best advice to give someone like this guy is to just walk out into oncoming traffic so as to spare the rest of us your insufferable stupidity. All the best on future designs though tiger!

although it may have been stupid to hold a pop-top type bottle close to your stomach, many people have built pill bottle mini's, i dont particularly like them because a moderately high number of them have had problems/blown, no need to be so harsh dude

Ouch, that can't be good. I know this because I had the coffee jar come off the back of my Econo gun.

Just make sure you don't have either end pointed at you when you first test it. Hold it off to your side.
