I was thinking about how I could get more power into a mini combustion launcher and without making it bigger ( which ruins the "mini" part) you can't really get more power. So I thought I could weld up a mini hybrid. This would give a lot towards the power to size ratio. Does this sound logical? I have never bult a hybrid so I don't know if this could be accomplished. Is it safe? Any information regarding this topic would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

Why do you ask? I wouldn't say I'm a noob but I wouldn't say I am an expert either. I have built quiet a few guns. about 10 all together. But I am a noob to the hybrid world, which is why I am asking. All the cannons I have built have been combustion.

i didnt mean to be harsh, i was actually asking him if he considered himself a noob. no cruelty intended. im not really familiar with him and i didnt know his skill level. just wanted to make sure he wasnt another "new comer" whos like, "im want to build a hybrid, how would i go about doing that"

i'd say get atleast a little bit of pneumatic experience first before you venture to hybrids, and when you make your mini you MUST use NSF-PW fittings ONLY and your pipe must have a pressure rating, you may use NSF-DWV fittings for combustions, and thats fine, but for a pneumatic or hybrid? HELL NO. you should limit yourself to about 1.5x or 2x mixes in your hybrid, and with 2x's i'd remote fire, if you go iwth using sch80 thats all the better. you MUST know how to solvent weld correctly http://www.burntlatke.com/weld.html

I have been hanging around the advancedspuds forums for a month or so and then found a link for here. Well I will try building a pneumatic when I get some cash and mess with those a little bit. So, what your saying is instead of using metal pipe use sch 80 pvc? Thanks for the help, any other information will be appreciated! No hard feelings Walrus it just came out wrong. Take it easy guys and thanks again.
