i have been thinking about building a PNEUMATIC 1 1/2 inch (pvc) paintball sabot revolver does any one know how the cam lock works and is it worth the trouble? could i just turn the cylinder by hand? parts list anyone? ive seen revosemi but still dont understand?

i wouldnt use a cam lock, you would have to buy several. basicly just have a non-threaded coupler on the barrel and another on the chamber and have a shell go between. thats how i would do it, just make sure it locks somehow.

edited to add that: im assuming that you are talking about something like Revolver X.

Why are you making a revoler for 1 1/2 inch pvc that would be huge. make it out of 1/2 inch pvc for single .43 caliber shots. That would make it much cooler and smaller. for the rotating parts you should ask whoever built the revo semi, if your going to build a revolver it needs to be able to do it by its self to look cool.

Or PM Solar for help, for he plans on marketing revolver style paintball weaponry and he knows his stuff when it comes to cams and the like.

You could try an take the stuff from a cap gun revolver. You could also just copyit and make it bigger. How is it going to be handheld if it is 1 1/2 inch?

Yes, define handheld... I like the idea, however. Geez, I've never really thougth about how a revolver works. I agree with whoever suggested tearing apart one of those cap guns, that seems to be a good way to learn.

look at the webley-fosberry automatic revolver for help in design. Sorry about not being more helpful, but you can check out the prototype pics at http://www.eclipselauncher.com for some ideas.
