Mods don't remove this please, he's just making more work for you.

Please vote for the removal of CannonCreator from the forum.

He's done nothing but go on a massive posting spree over the past few days and is starting to pi*s everyone off. Some of his latest posts:

Did you not notice the 7 other replies to your question on the first page of this thread? (No offense intended to jimmy, as his answer was excellent)

Congratulations, you have been added to my sig!

Those werent answers IDOIT, they were complaints, that theres know way a spud could go 1/4 a mile, Thats not what im asking morons!

Jimmy answered the question!
Hey, Im sure someone has heard of nanotube, but I can't find much pressure info, or any type of resistance information. I know that you can get Baseball bats, Bikes, and pipes made of nano tube. (Which for you who dont know, Its a EXTREMELY Strong metal, I cannot find were to buy it in tubes. I would figure that it would be a great material to use for metal cannons(correct me if im wrong)
Information easily found on Wikipedia
CannonCreator wrote:
well how would you get the end of it in the cannon without it leaking?

Well If you did put threads on the end of the burner, and covered up those holes at the end, it might work, you would have to thread the burner into the chamber. But the problem would Be the torch or burner mihgt NOT get enough oxygen in the chamber to ignite. You are going to have to have a good ball valve to vent out the chamber along with a fan maybe. Before you put together a cannon, you should test te burn to see if it will work when it is inclosed in pvc. Actually you know what I have a BERNZOMATIC push button flame torch, that is use for pyrotecnics, and that can ignite in a closed in pipe.

1. Your going to have to put threads on the end of the birner, or weld some metal pipe with threads on the end that the burner can snuggly fit in, to the chamber. Which is totally possible, but I don't know if you would loss air efficentcy inside the chamber. It should still work though.

What does everyone else think?

Personal insults:
Do You Know what a Bunsen burner is? They don't have sparkers retard
And some of the comments he's been getting:
mate we dont need that sh!t here, take it somewhere else.
I meant what's up with CannonCreator?
CannonCreator I seriously thought you were going to be one of those good new-members that start out well and over time become a good regular member that everyone gets to know.

Obviously I was wrong, seeing as you can't accept the laws of physics.

Please don't be a stubborn moron, you're wrong. Deal with it or i'll have to deal with you.
cannon creator shut up. you don't know crap and don't try to argue with people who obviously know more than you.
Once again, are you trying to act like a moron?
And that's only from going through 2 pages of his posts. He's also made extensive lists that just wasted forum space, made random comments, and even posted a thread about a video clip (yet he forgot to include the link).

We welcome new members but this guy is just taking the pi*s and making more work for the mods and starting arguments. Even if he shouldn't be removed from the board he at least needs to stop/slow down on the posting and quit posting the BS he has been for the past few days.

VOTE TO REMOVE HIM!!!!!

(And yeah I know it's sad to go to all this trouble but if it means him just STFU for once it will have been worth it)

Just give him a warning. He ignores it, off he goes. That's my 2 cents.

I don't think we should permanently remove him right away, so I voted "no" because there was no "maybe" in the poll. Maybe PcGuy could pm cannon creator that he has one more chance or something? Move his account over to Theopia maybe?

I really don't think that it is your place to question whether or not this member should stay. I belive that this concern should have been forward to a mod in the form of a pm and left for their decision.

Yet another reason not to ban cannon creator...http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/2d-cann ... 10095.html...read it...maybe he does care about us after all, and we should care about him. He just has a hot head and speaks his mind too quickly with stubborn phrases.

Gepard, you aren't a moderator or an admin, you are just a regular joe-schmoe like everyone else. If you have an issue with a member, take it out with them through PM. There is no need to publicly be a jackass to someone, no matter how annoying they might seem to you.

Other forums I've been on had rules against these kinds of threads, and I wish SF did too. They're really annoying, and all they do is start flame wars and make even more work for the mods, despite what the OP thinks.

I know I'm not, that was the point of this thread. It looks to be like it got an apology and solved the problem. There's no point PMing someone when he has been told that many times and more than one person he's screwing up.

I wasn't looking to get him removed but it seemed that despite lots of posts asking him to stop/slow down his posting it continued so I felt enough was enough. That's better than having him continuing posting and making more threads that would only be deleted, and actually it hasn't required any Mod to speak up. I'll be honest I didn't expect it to turn out this 'well' but it has so lock it up or delete I don't mind.

eh... I really don't think there is much of a reason to ban him. I guess we were probably all idiots at some point. Maybe he just joined at a bad time :)

One thing I don't understand though; I would think you need quite a bit of intelligents to understand enough actionscript to make a decent 2d game in flash, and even something as simple as the unreal editor(for fps) takes a lot of experience/mental capacity to get working correctly.
In any case, I looked forward to seeing if he makes some type of spud-based game in the future.

is what hes doing really THAT bad? i mean, remember that simo kid that stole the marble gun as his own? and the various people who wrote like this :

OMG THT CNN IS SO KOILILO HIDJSKHGI JDISSJI IJIJS

Gepard you only joined here like a month or two ago so why are you talking. There is always some kid here that wants answers really bad or wants plans or whatever and that's just what happens. We don't really remove people unless they are harming the site so just chill out and worry about yourself.

As a fellow noob, I can see where he's coming from. To be quite frank, the search engine on the site is somewhat disappointing, and finding specific information is hard. Even google rarely yields satisfying results, and if you can't help yourself, asking someone seems like the most logical solution. Maybe an angry PM would help him get on the right track, but removing him seems a bit harsh.
Plus, what if you do remove him? Did it ever occur to you that he could just create a new account?
Also, do read his apology. It's very sincere, and he is truly sorry. Stuff like that you can't make up.
I do think he's a nice guy, and even if he were Osama Bin Laden himself, can you really ban someone from one of the greatest websites in the world? :D And even if he is a complete and total retard, rembember that if it weren't for retards, we'd still be dumb@$$ bacteria in a dumb@$$ pool of water (according to Charles Darwin)
Come on people. Don't be a player hater.

I disagree, the amount of times certain questions get asked here is ridiculous, which could easily be avoided with a little diligence when using the search facility, that has specific features more than adequate for narrowing down your results - it's miles ahead of the search feature that used to be available on spudtech for starters.

Then again, we were all n00bs once, so as long as issues get ironed out eventually I suppose it's fine.

I would typically just remove something like this, but it has already been here for some time now.

If someone has an issue with a member, take it to a moderator or myself. Please do not make posts like this.

Everyone was new once, including yourself. Search engines can only do so good of a job.

Moved as well, these threads about users and such do not belong here, they belong in Website Talk

I just wanted to add, I'm the one that's moderated most of his posts (I think)... I've PM'ed him a few times about double posts, searching, etc... and although he may not have picked it up right away, he was cooperative and willing to learn, so I vote "no ban".

As PC said, we're all new once. Also as PC said, when you have an issue about a member, please PM one of the mods (MrCrowley, PC and I seem to be online most often lately) before starting a thread like this.

If you see a member posting stupid or potentially dangerous material, or questions that could be answered with a simple search, please point that out to them, or even better, give them links! Once somebody hears it 20 times, they'll catch on...

Peace,
Pete Zaria.
