ok, it used to be that when i opened firefox, i would type in "spudfiles" into the bar, it would load the homepage and i would already be logged in and on my profile, i know it's gonna sound like i'm whining, but i got really used to that, and now, for some reason, i have to press the login button, mozilla remembers the username and password, and the check box for "automatic login" is always checked (for some reason whenever i uncheck it, then reload, it's still checked) but it still doesn't jump to my profile

any suggestions?

That's been happening some in IE as well, although not the last day or so. PCGUY, have you guys been fiddling around with the your cookies lately.

Same as me.
It all works.
Eddbot I think it is something with your browser eating all your cookies.

The cookie monster...
"C" is for cookie which is good enough for me...
"C" is for cookie which is good enough for me...
Cookie, cookie, cookie starts with "C"
The sound of cookie crumbs hitting the floor as the cookie eating browser continues to sign. Meanwhile Eddbot has to manually login....

The check box on SF for auto login will set a cookie for you to login, there is no need to have Firefox remember your login info. What I would do is clear out your saved passwords and such in Firefox, and when you login to SpudFiles tell Firefox to NOT remember your password, but don't uncheck the "auto login" box on SpudFiles.
That should work just fine since it's what I do here. In fact I don't have Firefox save anything...
Let me know if it changes anything for ya.

The only problem I have with login is when I open a link to a spudfiles topic from Gmail it sometimes logs me out. But I don't mind too much, I have a fingerprint scanner which can log me onto websites really quickly when I put my finger on the sensor.

Sorry, couldn't resist... Anyway, I haven't had any issues automatically logging in, do you have any specific security settings configured?

Eddbot, what do you mean by " just made firefox not eat cookies"
I'm having issues not being able to stay logged on at all. I can log on and view one page with myself logged in, but as soon as I go to another page I am logged out again. I've tried clearing all my cookies and cache, but it is still doing it.
