Well its been a little over a year since i joined up here on spudfiles. My first gun was built before i joined up, a crappy PVC ball valve pneumatic built with... DWV... yes i know now its unsafe. After I joined this site, i quickly learned alot and dismantled the gun for obvious safety reasons. My next gun built was a metered propane combustion, my most commonly fired launcher. I've built 3 BBMGS, a pneumatic rifle, and working on my hybrid and large combustion and a shotgun for my friend. This website has given me so much information, and without it my spudgun knowledge would be extremely limited, and potentially dangerous.

So even though i'm not a high poster (seventyith something of all members) I try and contribute what i can and ask questions when i have them. I wish i could post more, but a lot of what i would say had been said, or when i came home today from atlanta and saw 975 new messages waiting for me, well i don't have time to go through all of those.

So i want to thank you all, admins, mods, PCGUY, and even just plain old members for all your work and kindness here. I've learned alot and try and contribute a tip or two here and there ;)

Thanks all,

ILTBTU

Yep, agreed.

Just so you know, post count really does not mean anything. Some people post like crazy just to up their post count, while others only post when they feel they have an insightful comment to add. For example, remember SpudStuff? He still is in like the top 20 posters on Spudfiles, yet his opinions were not held in high regard because of the poor spelling, poor grammar, and poor manners in them. Sure, there are people like JSR who have thousands of posts of meaningful comments, but then again, people like Neospud (Mr. Plow) hold a similarly high position on the spudding hierarchy, yet with many less posts. Really, post count is a bit of a style thing more than anything else.

Yea,

I dont really care about peoples post count either.
The way i recognize people is mainly the date they joined and what theyve built ie: Hybrid, Monster pneumatic, or something like one of JSRs crazy creations.

By the way where is JSR it seems like i havent seen him in a week or two.

Spudfiles IS great. I couldn't come up with a better format because it includes the combined efforts of many people having gifted
intelligence and interests.

I can relate to your post because in the days before anything like spudfiles there was no way to get the amount of overview for one thing so we did a lot of unsafe things.

I actually found this site and some similar but not as good while searching for something like the bbmg I used to pay to shoot at the carnival. (I looked at the name on it,wrote it down and then began to search the internet).

That brought me eventually here where I found most of my most greatest interests of all in the world (besides motorcycles and aviation) combined.

BTW when I finally asked the "carny" about the "shooting star" bbmg, he basically just showed me the magazine which was a tube of birdshot inserted into the Thompson styled stock and said well thats how you load it and the air pulses by a "Reed valve" , other than that he said he didn't know anything else about it's workings.

Once again thanks to all from myself as well!!!

Without this awesome site i wouldn't have even thought about spudding as a hobby for me, it was actually an accident. I typed in something in images(And stumbled across JSR's diagram of his pen gun and i was completely inspired by his creation.. :) ) Although it may not seem like it, i am on this site much, although my post count isnt high. :( I thank JSR for my love of mini coaxials now :D

I second what everyone else has said. :)

Getting married has kept me from here last year, but now that things have settled down I am able to be here more. A wealth of information and a good community all-around. To spudfiles!

When the spudtech forum was still active, I had only looked around Spufiles a few times. I thought that Spudtech was the greatest thing since sliced bread. When it shut down, I came here and was pleased. The same level of information and professional attitude made me fell at home.

Through the years these forums have seen many great builds, builders, moderators, and breakthroughs in the spudding world. It seems that now, a over under metered cannon with cam locks is almost standard. The term Hybrid is now used like its been around forever, and stunguns don't seem like such a wild thing to have on a cannon anymore.

I look forward to contributin to the community of Spudfiles and to its advancement.

Keep dreaming, Keep spudding, and most importantly, "keep on keepin' on brother"

Haha yeah, I used to think piston valves were impossible to make, I wouldn't even dare touch a pvc tee, but now thanks to SpudFiles I am pooping out piston cannons, I too thank Spudfiles :)

Still here, but recently single again and enjoying it to the fullest, and that usually means spending as little time in front of a PC as possible (and when I do, it's usually playing Kane and Lynch :D)

Off to Spain in less than 2 weeks so it will be only virtual spudding for me until November - unless I can get the maintenance guys in the Spanish plant to put all that stainless steel tubing to good use hehe
