I was Just curious, do you enjoy having a spudgun or the challenge of desining and building a new better one. Personally i get bored just shooting a gun even one im not making or desining a new gun im trying out all sorts of new ammo

We probably wouldn't be building them if we didn't enjoy it. Why would we build one if we wouldn't enjoy having one? yes & yes from me.

I'd probably have to say that I enjoy the challenge of designing and building spudguns more. Thats not to say I don't also like shooting them, but playing around in the workshop is just more fun.

Ya I didnt mean that i got bored shooting it, i meant i got bored doing the same thing with it over and over but i love making new ammo

Definitely the design and build phase for me. Having them around to shoot is great, showing them off is great, but I get most of my personal satisfaction from time at the drawing board, studying and in the shop.

In other words, you would never catch me just buying one pre-built....for spudguns that is. However, BB, airsoft and paintball stuff could be another story...they aren't my thing but if they were, I would just buy it more than likely.

For it's designing, building and shooting, I worked on something for a month. Then it works and shoots, then I take it to the playground with my friends . It's like raising a child

i can say that nothing is more rewarding and fun than hearing a supersonic boom outside your house moments after you simply push a small button. when you walk out you find a target with a hole in, simple as that.

not more to say because it is not possible to really know.

My top list of enjoyment, where 1= most joyful and 5 least.
1-Firing a new spudgun for the first few times
2-Building a spudgun
3-Designing a spudgun
4-Having spudguns
5-Firing spudguns

I agree completely, after a while I do grow tired of firing a gun. The best part is designing and building, and showing it off (if you can).
I find I have to vary the ammo or target or it is just kinda repetetive. I do also quite enjoy making videos and playing about with things like shots in slow motion.

I really enjoy building and I enjoy the most the moment I find out that it works
after a lot of shooting I try new ammo or killing stuff
then I want a new gun and start designing

I like both shooting and designing, but I think being a member of this forum shows that you are interested in the design end of guns. The only cannons I like shooting are my basic pneumatics/ combustions. While adding a chamber fan, propane meter, etcetera results in better gun, it really isn't fun for me anymore. Anymore I just like shooting my aerosol ABS GB off the back porch when my friends come over. So I got to say I like shooting them better then building/ designing.

I can't seem to go a single day without coming up with at least one new design myself.
Seriously, just 5 minutes ago, it was plans for self contained semi/full auto combustions - where the only power source is a propane tank, and all venting, refueling and loading is done with spare energy from the actual firing process.

Might even be worthy of a prototype.
