Well, I was just remembering my talks with DYI while he was here (incidentally just before his mysterious disapearance); he helped me a ton with understanding hybrids. Anyway, any more updates or news as to his whereabouts?

I haven't talked with him for a while either... He hasn't been on MSN. But then again, I'm on PST here and he is in the center of Canada somewhere...

A handful of members here know what happened but seem to feel obliged to remain silent. They have indicated that he is ok but stop short of an explanation.

This obviously feeds the notion that while he may be "ok", something fairly radical must have befell him. Consensus seems to be that he became entangled with the law in an unfavorable way. He hasn't been on Spudfiles in almost 3 months now...not even as a lurker...at least not under the name DYI....

I too realized DYI hadn't been on in awhile. Larda seems to know what happened to him, because of his remark in this thread but Larda is rarely on Spudfiles.

We all know that DYI enjoyed pushing the limits, and I seriously doubt a girl could keep him away from Spudfiles. But who knows.

Anyways, hopefully he is safe.

Some members know I believe, but they are waiting for him to return so he can tell the story himself. I think larda knows.

I think in the previous thread it said it was unknown when he would come back, and it depended on a variety of things. he does not know when he can come back.

I know a little bit about what happened but I am not at liberty to say. Surprise, surprise.

I was told on the condition that I could be trusted and wouldn't tell anyone else. So I will keep my word.

DYI is fine, as far as I am aware he's not in jail or anything like that and is at home and going to school and what not. He'll drop by when he's ready.
