sorry if this is against the rules but i was just wondering why people cant talk about small pest contro on here? jw once again sorry if im breaking a rule

Because rule #2 states:
Discussion of shooting anything at any person and/or animal is prohibited, and may result in a permanent banning of your account.
The exception to this rule is for proper use of legal airsoft and/or paintball markers.

Pest control, or shooting living things in general, would tend to shift the connotation or perceived purpose of a "spud gun" from recreation to destruction, which is arguably the purpose of a firearm.
As such, making and using homemade cannons / guns for this new purpose would change the legal status of "spud guns" as a whole. They'd probably be classified as firearms and then need to be regulated.
Even if you aren't using spud guns for pest control, discussion of such things on this board would undoubtedly change the perception of spud guns anyway, as the two topics would be inherently linked as per the structure of this site.

Also in many cases, the killing of animals with most spudguns would be inhumane because the suffering an animal would be subjected to from an incomplete kill.
