so in the middle of my most recent project!, i just had an idea about 3d printing in a way to add to the spud gun community!

I'll certainly post my project when finished! and in general I personally will tests the limits of what can and can NOT be done with 3D printing in our environment and of Corse release the results of such tests! (Safely!!!!! 4 Sure!!!!)

I wondered how I can add too the community without liability?

In much less words, Contribute awesome things without worry about what will or wont hold up, or in danger folks!

so what i came up with was what I will label as dressing kits

think of it like a "Mac uh roni " kit for a say a glock!! ( yes i know it is not spelled correctly! by design not fault )

all cosmetic, yet enhances function without being a rated part per say

what are your thoughts on this? as any and all of you? trying to branch out into one of my favorite subjects with work

like AR 15's have a huge market in rails, body shapes, grips etc or essentially non gun pressure rated parts in relation to its function

I am asking would it be worth designing kits to make your spud guns of all types have accessories like grips frames shrouds rails etc.

let me know its already in the works but it depends on the response on wither it comes out

thanks for anyone ahead of time, who took time to read this and for any response

ill use the response as the measure

Have you came up with any designs that are ready to be printed? Have you thought about taking custom orders? Cost and turn around time? These are the 1st things that come to my mind.

i have a few designs in the works turn around tine would depend on what item size and material (speed at which its optimally printed) and

yes i would be able to take custom orders

the idea here is what would you all like to see

i have included an example of a power tube i just printed up yesterday for my javelin( mag fed pump shotgun with shell ejection) update

some of the ideas i have thought up would be

body panels with sight rails

chamber to barrel spacers

piston spacers and pistons

stocks fixed and or folding

but what would you all want to see

the part shown for example is 30% glass filled PA6 Nylon and the threads are accurate 1" NPT the smaller diameter was sanded smooth to aid in less friction glass fiber is rough textured like sand paper even at fine layer heights

Looks good. Are you going to make one for testing?

Sounds like an interesting idea, I think an adjustable chamber to barrel spacer would be great.

Also clamp on ergonomic grips for blowguns and control values

yes I don't know why i did not think to go ahead and print one for that reason I will now as soon as i get these o-rings for a sleeve valve printed so look for it later this evening

just to give an idea of some testing I have done, My truck had a water leak at he return so i printed a 1/8th thick gasket out of Tpu its thickness was due to part of the problem that caused the leak its held up so far and that was late last year the lowest temp to melt was higher then my engine should ever get and has been field tested

on the barrel spacer I have a image in my head but what size for example would you like to see and what range of adjustability

Could you make something like a thick 1"+ diameter threaded rod longer than it needs to be, then the end user can saw it to length. I think spacing as low as 1" makes sense, for barrels 1.5" PVC and 2" PVC, chambers 3" and 4"

yes would you want them to just rest on the barrel and chamber as shown i above drawings or go around the chamber and barrel like a figure 8 the threads could be done but may lead to the correct spot facing the wrong direction what about same concept but with a square peg system with a quick pull pin the peg would have pre marked segments to remove
