i'm sitting here reading post and just came across a post about 1" sprinkler valve, was asking about guide rods in the sprinkler valve, anyway it made me wonder if anyone has ever tried useing a eletric solinoid on a piston valve?
tell you what, on my wheelchair lift in my van it's a (ricon lift), has a safty latch for deployment out of the door way, this latch works off a bad to the bone solinoid, it's about 10-12' of wire the the solinoid to the switch that works it, it is (instentaine-us?) and very strong, i pulled the latch by hand and it is very stiff
the next time i have to do maintance on it i'll get the model and part number and do a voltage check, to see how much runs it, and i'll build the valve and let you all know
has anyone ever tried-
If you can power it, I guess it could work. You could also use it to pop burst disks (the more power in the solenoid, the thicker the burst disks can be, so the more pressure they can handle).
