making a launcher 3/4" pipe for the whole launcher?

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

would 3/4" inch pipe be suitable for making a whole gun if i made the two chambers as long as the barrel (double the volume),

and to adapt a 1" sprinkler valve http://www.thewateringshop.co.uk/ws-use ... e=ec-framecould i use the following fittings from this site http://www.pipestock.com a 1" abs fitting adapter (plain male spigot and bsp threaded female) on either side of the valve and a 1" to 3/4" reducing bush so i could use 3/4" inch pipe and fittings for the whole gun
1. so i can shoot paintballs
2. 6m of pipe and all the fittings (grade E pressure pipe) is cheaper than 6m of 1" abs (grade C abs pressure pipe) and all the fittings. thats 15 bar compared to 9 bar.

the reason i dont use 1" pipe for the chambers and 3/4" pipe for the barrel is that in the uk i can only find 6m lengths and i can not afford 12m of pipe.

P.S. this is for my first cannon so im a bit of a noob (thats why im asking sooooo many questions), but i still want power!

Then ditch your cotton-wool coated health and f***ing safety insistence on an electronic safety and use a modded sprinkler valve :)

well if you were to make the chambers out of bigger diameter pipe you would get more air to the barrel faster (witch means more power). another thing you'll want to do is minimize the number of turns in the pipe becuase turns cause a drop in performance.

using 3/4 pipe for the hole gun will work but the bigger the better i would suggest 1"-2" pipe for the chambers. also pvc is dirt cheap (least it is where i live) i just bought 10ft of 2" pipe for $5 yesterday, honestly how much more does it cost in the UK?

also don't use ABS in pneumatics its just a plain bad idea and make sure you get the right type of 3/4 pipe (for the barrel) so you don't have to use wadding for every shot.

If you don't mod that valve, you're not going to get that power you seek. But that's up to you. You don't have to.

You have pressure rated ABS?
Well if you are 100% sure its that special type, go for it, but for the most power your going to want a larger chamber.

It is not difficult to mod a valve. I looked on the link but did not see a valve, but I'm sure it can be modded. Just please don't ask how to mod one or you may get bombed.
