does anybody know how to keep a marble in the barrel. i have a problem with the marble falling out while i'm about to shoot. does anyone know any ideas for a normal marble (not a metal baring using a magnet)

you could put a little tape on the marble

You can put toothbrush bristles in the barrel, just glue them in, or put a very small amount of epoxy in front of where the marble usually lies, just enough epoxy to cause enough friction to stop the marble rolling forward.

Edit: Unless the tape was specially put on the marble to stabilize it in the barrel to stop it spinning therefore stop it curving when it leaves the barrel like all marbles do, the tape will really screw up its flight path and its velocity a bit.

Get a perfect fitting barrel is another way,I have a PVC barrel on one of my guns that made for Electrical wires and it fits marbles perfect,they won't roll out by themselves but your can blow them out easily.Perfecto.

Just put some tissue wadding in front and behind the marble.

no he means use the tissue as wadding in the front and in the back not wraping the tissue paper around the marble

No, at least I meant to wrap the marble in the tissue. Much easier than putting tissue in front and behind the marble.

If the tissue is small and wrapped losely it'll come off the round soon after it leaves the barrel.

you should cut a disc of tissue and use it as a patch, the same as the do with cloth in muzzleloaders:
