Where to find a huge sprinkler valve to modify
Can anyone link me to find a 3" or larger sprinkler valve that I can mod for my next air cannon? It's gonna be huuuge.
OR, could I just make a piston valve with a 3-4 inch tee? It can be a barrel sealer or chamber sealer as I have access to a lathe. or two

At that scale you're probably better off financially building your own piston valve.

A 3" valve will cost you quite a bit unless you get a lucky deal on eBay or something, just build a piston valve, it should be more powerful if built correclty and cheaper.
I do remember not that long ago, spudtech member DR was giving away a 3" valve for free! Someone called dibs on it, then he changed his mind and kept it.

Try a store that specializes in plumbing (which Im sure you have already). I had that same problem. Lowe's carries fittings over 1" in DWV. And Home Depot has some pressure fittings but not much that are large enough. If you happen to have a "Ace Hardware" try that.
I can get a 2" sprinkler valve for you but it's like $110 for it. Its made by Irritrol.

Ok, piston valves only cost the price of pvc to make, and that is not that much, sprinkler valves cost up to 80% more and don't carry that "i made it" factor, if you build your own valve you will feel awesome and impress some older engineers.
The Doors are awesome, Led Zeppelin is amazing, and Motley Crue kicks @$$.

You forgot that piston valves perform better unless you are bad at making one.
