Coin Shooting (U.S.)
From what i had heard, (This only applies to U.S. people only) It is illegal to deface any U.S. Currency, meaning that we cannont shoot holes through quarters or any U.S. mint coin. So what should we do with pics that we shot holes through quarters with?

No it is not illegal. It is illegal if you do it and then try to use the money or do it with the purpose of harming the economy. I maybe wrong...

"Do people sometimes do this and get away with it?"
Sure they do. We've all seen it and yet no one seems to be swooping
down on the violators to haul them off to jail.
“If this is the law spelled out before us in black and white then why
doesn’t the government prosecute everyone who does it?”
Your guess is as good as mine; but nevertheless, there’s the law, just
as it is written and just as you asked."

A lot of places in the US also have a fine for expectorating in public.
Luckily, the cops have much better things to do with their time than hunt you down for shooting pocket change.
Also note that coins have been intentionally defaced on television, on such shows as Mythbusters, specials on counterfitting, shows on the history of coinage, etc.

Mr Crowley is right, it's mostly a worldwide thing.
There was a situation where a group of "artists" nailed a load of UK banknotes to a wall - they get fined for defacing the currency of her Majesty the queen.
The same group burns a similar pile of money - it's perfectly legal. Destroying legal tender is fine, defacing it on a LARGE scale will get you problems. The cops aren't going to hunt down some kid who punched a few holes in quarters - and if they do, then ask them why they're doing that over hunting counterfeiters.
You won't be able to spend the coins of course, but they won't book you for it.

Well, this leads to a new challenge...Who can shoot an object at a coin and not damage it.
Ok sorry, i didnt know if it applied to any other country i was just goin about what i know, but thx for the replies, so i guess ill shoot a penny now. Actually i was just screwin around with my new piston cannon and i shot a nail at a penny and it came back to me. I look at it, and my nail cut it in half

Wait, how the hell did you shoot a penny with your piston cannon. Isn't it a 1.5" porting valve. Im confused. Great that you got it working though.
The Doors are awesome, Led Zeppelin is amazing, and Motley Crue kicks @$$.
