150,000psi??

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

My god, imagine a 150,000psi gun with a burst disc made from 1" titanium sheeting, I'm sure that you could fire marbles at near the speed of light. lol :D

Gunpowder can burn at a lot more than 50kpsi. Tank cannons sometimes generate 85kpsi, so I'd be more inclined to believe Mark's calculations. And you certainly don't need 150kpsi fittings for unregged nitrogen. It doesn't usually run anywhere over 2.6kpsi.

the only thing i can see these being useful for is a super high mix hybrid where you could use a shutoff valve to separate the chamber from the more delicate fuel and air injection parts although ignition could be a problem...

So just for the fun of it i used this pressure for a burst disk bb gun in ggdt and got 140461 fps and 135123 ft/ibs of muzzle energy with air! :twisted:

i was just using smaller caliber rifle shots, theres a chart in my mates dads shed with estimated pressures. thats where i got this info from.
At my lemonade stand I used to give the first glass away free and charge five dollars for the second glass. The refill contained the antidote

That was for a .5 inch by 8 inch chamber and a .25 inch 16 inch barrel.
