I now have my schader valve and it is a screw in type(one with a bolt to clamp it in) and i did a test with and old piece of pipe with an end cap i pulled it through but the threaded part did not come all the way through. The double layer was too thick for it. I then drilled another hole just in the pipe and tested it again it was perfect. I was wondering if it was safe to use it in the pipe and not put it through the double layer. i will be using it up to about 120 psi. Image this is what it looks like but mines steel.

Is there a way you could drill the hole into the double layer and use the threads on the schrader to thread directly into the pvc without using the nut? If so, you could seal it with epoxy to secure it.

I know that you can thread it into a single layer and it work for about 60psi, but that's as far as I was willing to take it. I wouldn't know about 120. With this type of schrader, it's not a matter of it popping out, rather the pipe failing.

I have the same schrader valve that I used for my project.

I got it from my local mechanic, my dad walked into the shop said he needed a valve, told him it was for a spud gun.

Supposedly this kind of valve is for truck tires, high pressure or something, badass.

I just drilled through my end cap, going bigger and bigger until I got a real nice tight fit, tightened the bolt and washer, it works like a charm.
