I am just putting this out there to get ideas on how i could use this.Image

It is made from Aluminium, is rated to 230psi and comes off an old air compressor. It has four holes (two 1/2 inch and two 1/4 inch). it's capacity is 500ml.
I had planned to use it as a chamber for a .50 cal piston co-ax but i am open to any suggestions.
One other idea was to cover up all the holes and file everything down smooth and use it to make a mold for a hybrid chamber. Not quite as round as i would like but meh, beggers can't be choosers!

Use it to make a mold for a hybrid chamber. It'd be well worth it, and you could make the chamber as strong as you liked.

A chamber for some creative artistic looking pneumatic launcher.

Hybrid chamber it is then. I will make it out of Polyurethane- 60d hardness.
Thats about the same hardness as nylon.
Thanks for the input :)

"the art-deco style hybrid", by Novacastrian!

It's the hybrid of the future!... errr..... 30's.

*makes camera box thingy with hands, looks through it*

anyway, make a mold, then lay down a carbon-fiber shell an inch thick over that sucker, tap it (not sure how that would work, since I've never worked with carbon fiber) and make yourself a nice, unique hybrid.

I see we have another case of RNA PUI

A carbon fibre hybrid may be a bit brittle, but if you could somehow make the mold of something like concrete, you could make the new chamber from steel or aluminum.

Bloody hell RNA it's only lunchtime! :D I am on my second king brown but am not fishmuzzled like you!
Yes it was your idea bout the spherical chamber (well probably not YOUR idea but you are the one that mentioned it to me).
I am thinking about simply encasing the chamber with the Polyurethane (clear) and going with the art-deco :D To make a totally round chamber i have another idea.
You know those styrofoam balls that one can purchase from sewing supply stores and craft shops- well i can simply pour my poly around that to make the chamber, and then when the poly is set simply dissolve the foam ball with petrol or some such. Et Voilla, a very near perfectly round chamber.

What do you think of that? A transparent spherical Hybrid chamber with the capability to hold probably +10x mixes.

There will be no throwing, who would waste a beautiful creation like that?It sounds like a great idea! But won't the foam ball melt when you try and mould it?

I like the new avatar picture, and it was about 1am when I posted that.Just ignore me when I'm like that.

The foam ball should be fine as the polyurethane i use is cold-castable.
As long as the poly doesn't attack the foam that is. I will put a layer of cling wrap around it i spose.
And yeah, i didn't look at the time of your post, hows your head today? :D
