tommorow i am putting mine together. the only thing i wont have is the trigger. i will let you guys know its performance.

My crossbow project was the closest I ever made to a springer, and it used the basic materials I had when I was inexperienced with spudding, so you might find it helpful.

Thanks for the info/tips. 350 FPS sounds good to me since the main objective was to be independant from air sources/fuel.

Alright so I made my springer today I needless to say my makeshift trigger broke. The spring idea was pretty complicating I thought. So for the sake of simplicity I think I will use Jacks idea. What could I use instead of piano wire?

Piano wire is cheap and any good model shop should stock it - if not, there are plenty of websites showing how to make improvised bows, I'm sure that a quick google search will give you ideas on what is best suited from the materials you have at hand.

i looked on google and couldnt find anything useful but i did find some cool stuff. any other ideas?
