My first cannon

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

made from a coke bottle that has had the end melted in to fit a 1/2 inch poly pipewith a shutoff valve halfway up.On the lid i have used a pushy valve that that was coated with pvc cement that pluges into any compressor.

so how far does it shoot?and wat pressure do u run?

Well thats as ghetto as it gets. Quick thinking, i wonder how strong the melted joint is? I also wonder if anyone has made a conbustable out of a coke bottle??

she pumps about 80psi loosing at least 5 when the valve is turned and shoots screwdrivers about 100m

And yes jrrdw there is combustions out of coke bottles aswell as hybrids,Rambo makes them he has some very good ideas and his minis rock!

wow! 80psi thats impressive i wonder if your having the mickey out of us.

i only pump my class 18 pipe to 110psi, and its walls are like.. 20x the size of a coke bottle.

soda bottles have been tested to almost 160 psi before bursting. anso if the class 18 says its rated to 110 psi you can take it higher because ratings have a huge safety margin

The standard pressure for class 18 is 260 psi(kinda lame compared to sch80)so running it 110 is fine.
