Hi,
I have modified a RainBird JT-101-something. Worked great, until I screwed it on too tightly and broke the valve body.
Just remove the regulator screw if there is one, and screw and glue in a 1/4" male to 1/8" male or female reducer instead.
It works more reliably if you retain the spring.

Are "jar top" sprinkler valves modable?

wait so dongfag when you say regulator screw , you mean the bleed screw, as the GGDT calls it? if possible could you rephrase that using the terms provided on the GGDT?

Thanks so much for your help

Hi,
I mean the "flow control" screw marked in red on one picture.
If your valve does not have that (like on the other picture), you will have to attach your trigger somewhere else. I would try with the bleed screw, and NOT drill through the center of the jar-top. It seems that would weaken it quite a lot.
