Ant, glad to be of service. Looking forward to seeing whatever you build next.

Thanks Nova. It's going to be interesting to compare a "standard" piston with a "hammer-piston". Will post the results when I have them.

Jon, the piston is a floating o-ring type machined from nylon.

Spud, did you unzip the two files from microsoft website? Make sure everything goes into the same folder. I don't know what else to suggest, it worked for me right off. It's a great tool!

So do you pay for all of the steel etc you use, or do you get that along with the tools for free from your place of work? The guns you construct are awsome! I wish I had the tools and skills to machine like that! You need to use spud in you cannons just so you can call them spud guns thought...

Thank you for the compliments. :)

@ microman;

I purchase the bulk of my materials. I do use scraps from work sometimes. And, sometimes, my scraps get used for work, so it evens out.

Although I get the use of the machines at work, I do provide my own tooling. (lathe cutters, mill bits and drill bits etc.)

Ah kewl. I guess having a fabrication type place of work help you to get contacts. Still, must be cheaper than paying for the lot? And having high quality machines must help. Great work by the way. Keep it up!

Very...very nice.
Question , to have the piston seal against the barrel, how did you fit the copper through the tee? Same way as if it was PVC? (dremeling out the lip)?

That's right. :)

Well, ok, I used a half round pin file, and cutting fluid, but that's semantics isn't it? :)
