i thought this up at a gas station

hey i hope this is considered anything legal. i thoguth this up in a gas station. i went and i was getting some gatorade and i was next to a trash can and then up pops the idear of free items. i thought if you put any item in thier trash(they wont really check their trash i dont think) and then check there again tommorow and then hope fully they have a dumpster nearby search throught this and find you item.

P.S. this forum only pertains to dumpster divers/garbage pickers. and if you live near the gas station.

First off, you have to be a total and complete dumbass for wanting to pick a gatorade out of a dumpster. Second, you're a total dumbass because that's illegal, because it's illegal obtainment of an item, because you still didn't pay for it.

god for peat sake i thought this up at a GAS STATION what else would i think of. god. and no i wasnt talking about just a gas station you could do it with walmart or anyhting else and i didnt point out a gatarade in spicific i just put that there cause i was standing next to it when i thought of it

In Maryland were i live, if you discard anything/throw it in the trash, you automaticly give/gave up ownership of said item, therefor anyone who is willing to take said item out of trash can/dumpster can claim instant ownership of said item! It's not illeagle to be a "trash picker". After all the price is rite!!! lolololhehehehahaha!!!

Yes, but that's if the store puts it in the trash. If you put it in the trash, I think that would be considered theft, because you're giving up ownership of something that's never even been yours! I mean, you could get away with it, but I still think you could get penalized if you were caught.

Unless you could find a way to get someone from the store to throw it out.

I go around my neighbor hood in the morngings and get kool stuff out of the trach all the time, I got a rideing lawn mower from it.
