sorry i looked the forums but cant find what i exactly want so here it is. i am making a ww1 style lee Enfield like musket. i use a 1/4 ball valve for the trigger and other things so i can have a trigger. i would like to remove my ball valve and to have it explained how "rna_duelers" M.H.I.S Copper Musket Mk II piston valve works. I am using a 1/4 in barrel and a 1/4 in chamber like a coaxial style. Please can you explain were to get the materials to build one, i live near a "home base" and a "b.n.q." Also were can you find a quev valve? i have looked around London a lot and i cant find one.
thank you
p.s. I will post pictures of my gun when it's nearly completed.
sry about this-piston and quev valve.

First of all you write coaxial style but you've got 1/4" barrel and chamber written? second thing your explaination is very broad. I am not sure if I will have time to explain whatever questions you have based on the info you have given.

Can you give us a diagram of what you want to do? You generally order QEVs online, at McMaster-Carr. Search for Quick exhaust valves.

Well the lee enfield was not a musket...
And you will probably have to make your own stock.

They weren't using muskets in World War one....The Lee Enfield's of World War one were all bolt action...nicely made rifles... I just happen to own one 8)ww1 style lee Enfield like musket
...in fact I'm not sure if Lee Enfield made muskets...but I would have to do a search on that....even in the 1800's they were black powder cartridges...

Lee-Enfield isn't a make, if I recall correctly the name comes from the bolt lock system and the factory which produced it.

Wherever you live in the UK you're very unlikely to find a QEV on display in a public shop.
The QEV's obtained by UK spudgunners tend to come from Airlines Pneumatics or the UKSGC shop itself which more or less comes to the same thing as the forum owner has an account with them.

holy shiz# !!!!!! i just found out it is possible to rifle your barrel, how can you cheaply do this? my idea would be : use a dart that spins from the shape of it's fins, attach an angled sharp screw at the side or back or front, and fire!!!

Possible yes, but it expensive to do it right and not really worth it unless you were doing a batch order and selling the stuff...your best bet it to by PVC that has been rifled already but I'm not sure if you can find it any more....

If you’ve got the money I might could make you a rifled barrel.Jared Haehnel wrote:...your best bet it to by PVC that has been rifled already but I'm not sure if you can find it any more....
Cal .50 (half inch) is as small as I can go though, I’ve never seen quarter inch PVC pipe.
For more information read the next to last post, last one by me, HERE.
