haha
I would expect hardly any noticable sound reduction if any at all.
You will need hearing protection no matter what you do to try to silence it.

if you are talking about the muffler then it will not work unless you get an aftermarket performance one

stock mufflers just make the gas turn heaps of corners before it is passed out the tip...this wont work for a projectile.

the performance mufflers, usually called a straight cut high flow or something around those lines, may work but i dought its worth it when you can make your own.

i am thinking of this:
drill thousands of holes in the end of the barrel, get some insulation in a 55galon drum and cut holes for the barrel to go through

huh..... a 55 gallon drum for a silencer... hahaha you are going to need a lot of insulation for that gun, and a LOT OF A LOT of holes... good luck.

something i found by the way, its an artillery silencer :D:D:D:D

I personally like the idea you had with the 55 gallon drum. It would be relatively easy to make, and it is probably large enough to make the gun a little quieter, but you may need more than one drum.
