my piston design

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

Man i wish i thought about that sooner. For my 4 inch piston cannon, it was so hard to get the seat through, but i still manage to have interchangeable barrels, but at a higher cost.

But doesnt this method give you a large pilot volume?

why it has nothing to do with the pilot volume

Well that depends on the piston size as in length or the size of the porting like the one in picture.

ya but doing it this way doesn't add that much volume to the inside of the tee- its the fittings that you have to add to the back of the tee to make room for the barrel that adds volume to the tee so if you do it this way you can get everything in the tee and have all most no dead space

I dont think i understand what you are saying.

you cant really add volume to the tee because its fixed, you can only take away volume, like when adding fittings. There is less volume when you put the fitting in place because its taking up space.

Maybe a diagram? but if you dont feel like it thats fine :(
