I'm not an Ubuntu fan, it just runs too slow for my liking. After running Archlinux, Slackware and Zenwalk, Ubuntu is painful to use.

What extensions are you using with FF?

Ubuntu served me well when I had a laptop that couldn't run much else. Good to see its still alive and kicking.

Other than Stumble upon, not much...

You mean there are other faster linux distros? NO WAY! Which would you say is your favorite?

Heh, awesome...I'm a Zenwalk user too!

I tried Ubuntu today, I wanted to get my buddy into linux but with something that has a reputation of being easy to use. Well, I have to say, this distro blows! Seriously, this shit is more restrictive and non-verbose than bloody Windows, I don't know how any of you can tolerate this...lol.

I'm probably just doing something wrong...but needless to say, I'm sticking to Zenwalk, or Fedora.

Yellow Dog Linux for ps3 is a good place to start.

My friend stuck a striped down version of Ubuntu on his GB2x, so I should hope that your PS3 can run what ever the hell you want.
BTW, I have 3 PS3s

I am a total linux noob and am still able to do a fair amount. Granted I have two linux genious friends that help me out every once in a while, but there are plenty of help forums out there for you. Also, Ubuntu has a gigantic apt database, so all it takes to download most common programs is typing this into the terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install [program name]
It seems to be quite user friendly, and of course, because it is linux, a billion times better than windows xp, (and a octillion times better than Vista)[/code]
