ok i was taking a piss at caltech(california institute of technology) and i look at the urinal and thought that maybe you could use one of those lever valve flush things and as pilot valve or as a replacement for a ball valve.

my question is , how does joel make those little push buttons for the modded sprinkler valve.
There are rules, and then there are hundred dollar bills.

well that would be one helluva hassle getting it out of the urinal...why not spend a few bucks for a real valve, and avoid the toilet.

and i dont think anyone was really sure about that push-button thing he uses...
we had a topic like this a few weeks ago, and I suggested that it might not be anything more than a modified schraeder valve

There's gotta be some special-order place. I'll try to remember to ask Joel next time I speak with him.

As for the toilet thing... I think it would be funny as hell and may be quite effective.

First you need to pull up McMaster.com...

Put 6852K11 in the search box and this is one of the valves he uses. Although I cant find the exact same valve, I would assume its on this site. Push-Button valves give you some pretty close looking ones. For kicks, type in 1855.
