I'm not going to say what my avatar is. I want to make a few people guess first.

However, I often change it at random. This latest incarnation is because I liked it, and I think it'll make a few people go "WTF?"

Username is carried over from the SGTC forums. No sig.

My username comes from my DJ persona and my company name Starfire Media...and my avatar just pictures one of the coolest and personal favorite gun platforms ever conceived...I thought appropriate around these parts.:)

I believe users should be able to choose their own ID. If they don't have the good sense to pick something that won't embarrass them, then it's probably a good life lesson for them for future reference.

Unnecessarily vulgar IDs should be smacked down...IMO of course.

I don't need to guess, but to avoid spoiling it for those that want to, my answer is below in white:

It's the art for King Crimson's "In the Court of the Crimson King" album.
I'm quite a fan of "older" music and artists, probably something I learnt from my parents.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

I could actually hear the voices from the two when I read that, hearing Brain's voice getting louder as he completes the sentence

That was a cool cartoon clip. thanks for the link LikimysCrothus5.
I like your avatar too.

Someone had asked me where my username came from (a few replies back) and if it was given to me by SF.
The answer would be no, I think maybe it was a "God Gift".

But if it had been a SUGGESTION I read about then yes I would have still chosen it and it would have come from a SF's member's suggestion.

As for my username, I liked the word "thunder" for so many reasons.

It's a cool word in an AC/DC song I like,
it's a word mentioned in the bible,
It's associated with war also, for example, the sound of thunder, and the way soldiers hear it and yet continue onward into it. Or the sound of Thor's hammer.
Which makes it symbolic of "warlord" so in that sense, I don't consider myself "The" Thunderlord ,But "A" Thunderlord.
So others could also be Thunderlords I suppose.

It's funny when I type it in to log on the box reads "underlord" because there's only that many spaces in the box.

There are other reasons as well, like maybe it was subliminal that I may have noticed the word thunder in the awesome advertisement page here for "thunderbarrel cannons" possibly.

Either way it's interesting to learn that projection is a great sales technique. An example would be that when someone looks at a car they may want to buy the salesman ask's, "well what color would you like" or "what will your wife think of it" that causes someone to "project" themself as the owner and therefor not want to turn it in but keep it and to do that they have to buy it, Thus making "projection" a valuable sales technique.

So I didn't see any harm in giving suggestions to what would be cool usernames in a post.
Obviuosly not many members have done that but prefer to give examples of why they chose theirs which has been entertaining and interesting to me. So this will fizzle out as a topic or get a few more cool replies either way.

BTW cool signature:the only way to reply is to become a member  8)
