Is it illegal to not have mufflers as long as its not oo loud? I want to put exhuast on my truck, but kinda dont wanna do the whole cat-back deal. So me and a friend took off my exhaust right after the catalytic converter and it sounds good, was wondering if I just mound a turn down tight there, or run some pipe to a tip right infront of my rear tires, I have 1 cat, so i would split it and put dual tips poking out infront of my rear tires. And i need to get some headers, my stock manifold is sooo restricting. And new throttle body, And im thinking about trying K & N air filter. Also time for a oil change.....
Is it illegal to run it without the cat? there is no emssiom laws in Flordai....

It is illegal, but cops really don't care. My brother took his off 5 different cars, a cop helped him do it once, (neighbor), not like they'll notice anyways.

Put a muffler and right before it put a cut out so you can have it muffler free and when you see a cop or something turn it to the mufflers. If there is no emmision lawns then no it not illegal. When I can drive (in 4 months) Iam getting a diesel with a stick, long bed and stacks.

nice, i was thinking about taking the muffler (dyno max) and take something and ram through the baffles, so it looks like i have one but i dont, or just throw on a cherry bomb

Cherrys are nice and LOUD. Do you have a welder? If you do cut your muffler in halfcut some of the baffles out and reweld it up. Is it gas or deisel?
