on really simple, cheap spudguns, the kind you just make with like 5 bucks and 10 minutes for fun, does anyone have any suggestions on putting on the ignition? im talking about an ignition from a lighter, because they are really cheap. ive tried using hot glue ( because it is also cheap) and it works sometimes, but takes forever and sometimes shocks me. just so we are clear ( if i havent said the word enough) this is for really cheap spudguns. suggestions would be appreciated

Search around the Minis. Most of them use this system you speak of.

You're marrying yourself to an ultra-cheap, 10 minute combustion spud gun. By doing so, you are also marrying yourself to getting shocked, dangling ignitors, parts/wires falling off, misfires, cleanout caps blowing off, misfires, too rich/too lean fuel mixtures, misfires, hair spray residue, primer stains, more misfires and an overall much less safe cannon...it all comes with the territory.

Plus you're asking us each to spend 10 minutes or so responding to something you should be doing for yourself. Take Hubb's advice and do some searching and studying on the subject. What your asking is basic spud gun building...there are many examples in the showcases for you to draw on.
