200,000 Posts!

Hey, I just noticed that the forum now has over 200,000 total posts! I just thought that it was a pretty big milestone and wanted to share

Note- If any mod has a problem with this, just delete it and send me a PM

But you must consider a large number have been deleted, as this is actually the #200,000th posted, back in July. We're currently at about 210,800 posted so far, so nearly 11,000 posts have been deleted, about 5%. I don't actually know whether that's a good ratio - I expect not.

However, I present to you post #5, the earliest readable on spudfiles.

hahaha. /b/ gets like 80'000 posts a day. Its the most popular forum on the internet.
(/b/ is a forum on 4chan, which is nicknamed: "the random board" and moderaters can ban people for no reason at all, people just spam and all kinds of random stuff.)
EDIT: I just read on wiki that /b/ gets 150'000 to 200'000 posts a day! LOL
In one day 4chan gets more than spudfiles gets in like, 3 years?

It's a milestone of sorts, but it's just another number like all the others really.

The thing I appreciate most about the site itself is the overall quality. PCGUY has done much work to make this so and deserves much credit to have nurtured the site to see this milestone!

I've just noticed that it's the 4th Anniversary of post #5, the earliest readable on Spudfiles (at least by BST, which is what I'm working on)
So essentially, it's Spudfiles 4th birthday as an active forum.

Hepely Berfduy Spudfiles. (Sorry, UKSGC tradition that it's misspelt - Force of habit!)

We've managed nearly 137 posts a day between us since then. Almost one per day is sensible! Wow, now I can tell you, that is a good ratio for a forum.
