my first piston, for the valve.

well, I'm starting to make a piston valve, and first,
i made the piston:
(I wrapped it with hot glue and 1 homemade o-ring, i put a little piece of
rubber at the top, and a small bumper).

The bottom, the homemade o-ring,<br />and again, the wrap.

I can tell you right now that wont work.

The o-ring needs to be about 90-95% inside the piston with only 10-5% exposed to the surface. Wrapping the piston is hot glue will make the piston jam, have uneven surface so it will tilt and again, probably jam and have a really bad seal against the piston housing.

It wont work. How big is your piston hosuing? What ever size it is, go look at similar sized piston cannons in the Pneumatic Cannon Showcase section and have a look at their pistons. I know there are loads of topics in the showcase section, so make sure you use the advanced search tool effectively and not just search common terms that will give you 2000 results.

Its not the most beautiful piston, its not smooth along the sides.
Are you sure the sealing face is square?
We will see how it will perform.

whatever u did to make that piston, don't do it again. it might fire once but it won't set by itself. it needs to be a close fitting cylinder with a level sealing face. that is not a cylinder. i'm happy to see that u want to experiment with piston valves so learn from this and keep on tryin. i'm lookin forward to seeing ur finished product.
WHY PAY FOR IT WHEN U CAN MAKE IT?
