Hi fellas, I'm Still out of town. :(
But I went in a local tobacco shop here, Which turned out to sell [other things]. I noticed something like These
I was thinking they could be inserted in a tire filler using washers to fill the space, and used as an oxydizer. Maybe in combination with butane.
(I have an old butane torch with similar cartridges but I can't find an example on radioshack's site).
Anybody know, How much of an advantage that would be in power over air or oxygen, or any thoughts on these? (Besides the intended purpose).
Thanks 8)

Well, as an oxidiser, N2O should be better than air, and not as good as pure O2. It does take a decently high energy to break down nitrous oxide into an oxidising gas though, and I could see that possibly causing you some problems (I'm probably not one to talk though, as I've never worked with the stuff).

Just an update to my old topic here,
I picked up a case of those whippet cylinders (pressurized N2O),
I'm planning on inserting one in a CO2 tire fill tool, And then I will pressure test it (using a gauge).
They seem much weaker than CO2 cart.s...

Of course a small BV would be between the N2O hose and chamber...
I was hoping to combine this with a mini-butane cylinder solder torch I got years ago at radio shack. The cart.s are similar to CO2 cart.s only the top is differently shaped.
I plan to figure the pressure on those too (If they still make them).

Not sure if regular butane (for refilling lighters) would be sufficient (?) or what the chamber would be made of yet. Probably very small (like CO2 cart size) since the N2O cart.s don't seem to have much volume.

Haven't researched hybrid fueling much (yet) since my interest is usually solely pneumatics... so any advice/ info on this mini is helpful + appreciated.

BTW: I couldn't resist picking up a "breaker" for the N2O.
It's a two piece round case the cart. fits into and it gets screwed together. A metal spike pokes a hole in the cart.
When it's unscrewed a little the N2O shoots out two holes in the top!
So when I saw it I imagined This post's valve only with a CO2 cart. maybe for the shooting knife project I mentioned In this post .

Anyway YMBAS'r IF, You go to a head shop to buy N2O cart.s and get worried about what you bought on debit card showing up and making your credit look bad in the future!

Thanks for the only reply here. I wonder why car racing guys don't use O2 tanks injected into air intake rather than N2O (?)... since it is more available and probably cheaper. 8)...
